WHAT'S HAPPENING Marsha Bruce named Administrator of the Year Marsha Bruce, Administrator of the Year Vermont Council of Special Education Administrators (VCSEA) announces that Marsha Bruce, Special Services Director of the Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union is being recognized with the top award in the state for special education administration, the Gail Lynk Award. This award recognizes exemplary effort and achievement on behalf of Vermont children with special needs. RNESU Statement on Asian American Racism Dear Parents, Students and Staff Once again, less than a year after the death of George Floyd, I find myself still needing to speak out against hate crimes and racism, specifically against the murder of Asian Americans in Georgia last week. I have been struggling since the shock of learning about the killings with what to say. My role as superintendent of a public school system is to ensure that we 1) are creating an environment where our students feel safe and 2) prepare our students for a global world where diversity exists and there is no room for racism.
